Lorraine Blank, age 90, of Elburn, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday evening, November 13, 2017 at Bethany Healthcare Center, where she had recently made her home. She was born on February 11, 1927, in Chicago to proud parents, Henry and Clara (Tessman) Ficht. Lorraine grew in Jefferson Park, Chicago, under careful watch of Clara, who was known to keep tabs on the neighborhood, sitting on her stoop, complete with binoculars. Lorraine attended local schools and graduated from Carl Schultz High School with the class of 1945. In addition to her diploma, Lorraine began a lifelong love of bowling, a penchant for horseracing alongside her dad and broke more than a few hearts as well. Nancy L. Olsen, age 74, of Maple Park, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 11, 2017. For months she was surrounded by the love and prayers of not just her family, but many of her friends, as well. When the day of her victory came, a peace settled upon Nancy that passed all understanding. She is finally free of her battle with brain cancer and now rests in the arms of her Savior. She was born in Sycamore, IL, the daughter of Mark and Audrey (Keefe) Olsen on February 26, 1943. Nancy grew up on a family farm in Maple Park, as one of nine children. She attended local schools and graduated from Kaneland High School with the class of 1961. Following high school, Nancy began a career in telecommunications as an operator for Illinois Bell. Paul Keiner, age 84, of Elburn, formerly of Naperville, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and prayers of his family, on Friday, November 3, 2017. He was born on December 16, 1932, to proud parents Adam and Mildred (Dietsch) Keiner, in Aurora, IL. Paul spent his childhood making memories on the streets in Naperville, while attending local schools including S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic School and Naperville Central High School. Paul spent his childhood learning the cobbler trade alongside his father at Keiner Shoe Service. He also worked as a farm hand in Batavia on the Meisch Farm which set up a lifelong friendship with the Meisch family.
