Donald C. Stokr, age 70, of St. Charles, IL, formerly of Warrenville, IL, passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, following a brave battle with cancer. Donald amazed his doctors as being the one of the longest survivors of his particular type of prostate cancer. His body may have broken under the struggle to survive, but his spirit never did and lives on in Heaven.
He is survived by two daughters: Celena Zegiel and Shannon Stokr; two sisters: Mary (Jim) Ekstrom and Judy (Mike) Kozak; several nieces and nephews and a close circle of friends.
He now joins parents, Frank and Eva Stokr and one brother Frank Stokr, Jr.
Private family services will follow cremation at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, at a later date.
