Doris Pinne, age 88 of Sycamore went to be with her Lord in the early morning hours on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center in DeKalb.

She was born September 7, 1928, the daughter of Hershal and Helen (Askins) Daniels in Sycamore, IL.

Doris grew up in Sycamore, IL and graduated from Sycamore High School with the class of 1948.

Through a mutual friend she would soon meet the love of her life, Orville Pinne. Their love was so strong Orville walked from his home in Genoa to Sycamore to be with Doris. They were united in marriage on May 14th, 1949 at the Sycamore Methodist Church.

They made their new life together in her home town of Sycamore, Orville and Doris then moved to Sugar Grove in 1964 where they made their house a home and raised their two daughters, until moving to DeKalb in 2005.

Doris worked as an Electronic Inspector at Leich Electric in Genoa for a time before retiring from Furnas Electric in Batavia in 1996. She also enjoyed a lifelong career as a beautician, serving many family and friends.

She was a Senior Regent of the Sycamore W.O.T.M. and was a faithful member of the Monday Morning Class, a coffee “get together” for the class of 1948. Doris also worked as an election judge for over ten years in Sugar Grove. Doris was also a lifelong faithful member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.

Doris enjoyed her time in the outdoors during family camping trips, but when it came to her time spent “indoors”, she loved to work with various church committees. As the years went on and her family grew, she absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She leaves behind her two daughters; Connie (David) Siebens and Andrea (Tom) Ball, eight grandchildren; Sheila Siebens Vargas, Stacy (Michael) Siebens Heller, Scott (Shandy) Siebens, Shayna (Josh) Siebens Harbecke, Mark (Laura) Porter, Monika Porter, Tiffany Ball and Elizabeth Ball, sixteen great grandchildren; Alura (Domingo) Hernandez, Sandra Vargas, Daniel Vargas, Devon (Lavaughan) Freeman, Duston Rakowski, Destani Rakowski, Ambyr Siebens, Christopher Siebens, Brandon Siebens, Nathan Gosling, Jordan Swanson, Garen Harbecke, Brylee Young and Ava Ball, three great-great grandchildren: Jesse Martinez, Eliana and Adalyn Hernandez and two sister-in-laws; Shirley Overton and Dorothy Eicksteadt.

She now joins her parents; Hershal and Helen Daniels, loving husband; Orville, one brother Richard Daniels, maternal and paternal grandparents, mother and father-in-law; Fred and Veronica Pinne, two sister-in-law’s; Evelyn Pinne and Eleanor Daniels and three brother-in-law’s; Donald Pinne, Rudy Eicksteadt and Cliff Overton.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00am at Blackberry Township Cemetery in Elburn with Reverend Richard Mayer and Reverend CheonEui
Oh of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church co-officiating.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Doris’ memory. Checks can be made payable to “Doris Pinne Memorial”, and mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, 60119. The family would like to express their appreciation to Kishhealth System Hospice, Dr. R. Patel and Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center for providing excellent care during this difficult part of their mother’s life.
