NAME Iklin K. "Ike" Emery,age 58, of St. Charles, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, January 2, 2007 at his home . BORN: He was born April 4, 1948 the son Frank and Eleanor (Schwartz) Emery in Buffalo, N.Y.EARLY YEARS :Ike grew up in Angelica, N.Y. and attended local schools. He graduated with the class of 1966 from Spencerport High School. It was during his freshman year in college at Rochester Institute of Technology that he would meet and marry the love of his life, Karolyn J. Clink, in Rochester, N.Y. on September 6, 1969. They began their new life in various cities while Ike finished his studies, graduating with a degree in chemistry in 1971. The now growing family settled in Sudbury, MA in 1974 where Ike worked for Gillette in Boston. In the spring of 1989 the family moved to St. Charles while Ike worked in Chicago for Helene Curtis. LIFE NOTES He was husband to one, friend and family to many and a mentor to most. In his guidance he provided simple yet balanced explanations to the many crossroads we face in our lives. He taught us the importance of integrity, the black and white difference between right and wrong and found a sanctuary in the sparkling waters of Lake Geneva. He consistently provided laughter in a method that only he could perfect and though his life was short lived, his achievements were far greater than we would ever know as he humbled himself by our presence. He was a husband, father and friend who was loved by all those that crossed his path. He will be forgotten by few and missed by all. SURVIVORS He now leaves his loving wife Karolyn, Two children: Kristina (Eric) Wharton of Las Vegas, NV and Jason (Maebelle) Emery of Hoffman Estates;Three grandchildren:Alex Rothkegel, and Austen and Isabella Emery; His mother, Eleanor Emery of Livonia, NY, One sister, Aleta (Robert) Jennings of Endicott, NY, Three brothers:Raymond (Judy) Emery of Snohomish, WA, Leland (Nancilu) Emery of Avon, NY, and Joseph (Gerrie) Emery of Caledonia, NY;And a large extended family of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins that stretch for several generations. PRECEDED He now joins his father who preceded him in death.

VISITATION Friends may call Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 12-4 p.m. with a remembrance service to follow at 4:30 p.m. at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL.
