Paul Zoch, of La Fox, entered the realms of Heaven, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family, Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was born June 4, 1932, in Chicago, IL, to loving parents, John and Anna Zoch.

Paul grew up in Chicago, IL and attended local schools. Paul’s work ethic was forged at an early age and he lived with grease beneath his nails and was proud of the hard-won callouses as he worked as a mechanic. He answered the call of his country in 1952 and proudly served as a photographer in the United States Army. Paul was present and documented the Korean War, including two prisoner exchanges. Following an honorable discharge in 1954, Paul returned to civilian life, back in his hometown of Chicago. Paul was united in marriage to Jane Blake in 1957 and they were blessed with two sons, Paul Jr. and Michael. Eventually life took Paul and Jane down different paths, but fate brought Holly Noble into his life and into his heart. They walked down the aisle on September 6, 1986. They began their new life together in West Chicago before settling in La Fox making memories every step of the way.  Paul’s path as a mechanic led him to become a general service manager at Hyster Company in Bellwood, IL. Eventually he would lay down his tools for the last time in 1990. This didn’t mean he stopped working however. He and Holly, alongside Paul’s son, Michael, and friend Ed Bath, established La Fox Garden and Landscape Supplies until its closure in 2003. Paul loved traveling and boating from an early age. “Captain Paul” helmed many a vessel over the years, but also logged thousands of miles in his motorhome with Holly as his favorite co-pilot. One of the favorite destinations became a trek to Granite, CO, where they had a mining claim and dreams of finding caches of gold in the land and from the river. There wasn’t a book sale he didn’t like, stacking titles to fill numerous shelves in his home, especially if Clive Cussler was the author. Paul was one of kind who left memories along the paths he trailblazed, memories that will never be forgotten.

He sadly leaves his loving wife Holly Noble-Zoch, two sons, Paul Jr. (Megan) Zoch and Michael Zoch; one granddaughter, Shanna (Matt) Davenport; one sister-in-law, Sandi Zoch, one nephew, several nieces, many in-laws, and a family of friends.

Paul is reunited with his parents, John and Anna Zoch; two brothers: John Jr. and Carl Zoch who preceded him in death.
